Martin Gillett P. Eng.
Martin has over 25 years of experience in design and project management for civil, environmental and municipal engineering projects. Martin also specializes in client liaisons, administration, and preparation of reports and studies. Martin’s responsibilities have included every element of civil engineering projects and during this time he has developed expertise in project management, land and site development, storm water management, municipal infrastructure and hydraulic network analysis.
Skills and Experience:
- Land & Site Development: The design and construction of land and site development projects for institutional, residential, commercial and industrial projects ranging in size from 1/4 acre to 350 acre multi stage developments.
- Roadway Upgrading/Construction: The upgrading, reconstruction and construction elements of local roadways to meet Alberta Transportation Standards. These jobs included major highway intersections, drainage structures and environmental approvals of residential, collector and arterial streets to meet municipal standards.
- Martin also has experience in Sanitary Sewer Collection and Treatment. He oversaw the construction and revamping of sewage lagoons, mechanical treatment systems, lift pump stations and collection mains.
Notable Projects
- CFB Suffield, Ralston Alberta, upgrading of roadways and surface drainage. The phase of the project was to identify upgrading requirements, along with costing and phasing recommendations to meet budget thresholds. The second phase, as identified in the phase 1 report, was the design and construction of a new storm sewer system. The third phase was the upgrading and reconstruction of the roadways and replacement of the majority of the concrete curbs, gutters and sidewalks.
- Yellowhead County Administration Building in Edson, AB. Manasc Isaac Architects. LEED Silver Certified. The project was designed to achieve LEED prerequisites and retaining and treating storm water on site, including a storm water retention system that stores water for irrigation and vehicle washing purposes.
